Hello,

Have tried different Win7 PC and DoubleCAD XT v5 can be installed / activated but cannot run.

Once the Tips screen come up and close, it will crash with BEX event !!

TCtips.exe will remain in the task manger list.  Need to manually kill it.

Our company will patch the Win7 up to date.  Is there any Win7 patch affect the operation of the DoubleCAD XT v5.

We have a Win7 system that we install DoubleCAD XT v5 few months back and work fine until these few weeks.  It is crash with BEX event.

Any solution?

I just got forum account activated.  I'll post the BEX event errors list tomorrow once I get back to my company.

Thanks in advance.

Did you install it as admin? Also, try right clicking the icon and run as XP.

Did that already.  Still the same.  Only different is when in when XP mode, the Problem Even Name is APPCRASH instead of BEX.

This may help:

right click on my computer
go to properties
click on advanced system settings
under performance, click settings
click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
click Add, browse to the executable file for the program and add it.

Try adding DoubleCAX XT into the DEP ignore list and still got the same BEX event.

When will IMSIDesign make change to the application to handle BEX event?

Seems like DEP is going to be a mainstream feature and modern PC hardware come with it by default.  Win7 detect it and turn on by default.  Turning DEP off for any (or all) application does not goes well with our corporate IT policies.  So DEP will be turn on for all our corporate PC.

Thanks.

Excellent, thanks Brian. I finally got it to work.
