Doublecad Win 7 64bit problem

Hi, I have installed the program on my new laptop. The program starts (with the drawing screen in the background and drawing list in the front), but when I try and use it I get the message that DC for windows has stopped working and the program must close.  I've tried runnning it without any anti virus with the same issue.
Does DC run on a 64 bit machine (I have tried in compatibilty mode again no success)

Ian,

unfortunately DC is not tested or validated for 64bit OS, ergo it is not officially supported. Some users have had success in running on Windows 7 - 64, but it seems to depend upon OEM version and their hardware configuration. There is no clear pattern for success or failure.
Some resolutions have included turning off UAC (user account control), intalling and ruuning As Administrator, and as you've already tried Turning of virus checking.
