Something more artistic...
« on: July 30, 2010, 07:17:27 AM »
Has IMSI ever considered creating a product like Piranesi?  It seems as though Autodesk is dropping Impression, which was like Piranesi, but had better dwg compatibility/integration.  It has become an important part of my workflow since it is much easier/less time consuming than hand rendering drawings.

Just curious.

Image Gallery  is impressive. May be, in free time, is worth  to download  trial  and try it out, to see whether rendering 3D model can be so quick and easy .

The closest that IMSI has at this time is in TurboCAD Pro.  Not only does it have photorealistic rendering, but also artistic render styles that include hand drawn effects, water colors, etc.  See a few simple examples here: http://www.turbocad.com/TurboCAD/TurboCADWindows/TurboCADPro17/Rendering/ArtisticRendering/tabid/1552/Default.aspx

But can it honestly come close to those images with any ease?  Just sayin the doors open..., especially with the ownership shakeup with Piranesi.
