Considering purchasing DoubleCAD
« on: November 20, 2011, 06:37:45 AM »
I have been using Turbo CAD for years and am thinking about purchasing Double CAD.  However, before I spend the $$$, I would like to know what the main differences are between the 2 programs.  I read somewhere that Double CAD has a “detail” feature – allowing to create a detail (i.e.: corner detail, roof detail, etc…) – is this true?

Any information would greatly be appreciated.

What version of TurboCAD are you using? If your using the Pro version, why change? Are you looking at the XT or Pro version of DoubleCAD? See here for 'detail': http://turbocaddoc.onconfluence.com/display/DCADUM/Detail+Section

Pro version is a 2 1/2D and has more architectual functionality than the free version.

Steve,

Thank you for your reply.  I am using TurboCAD Deluxe 16.

The link regarding "detailing" was exactly what I was looking for - it appears to be a great tool.

Again, thank you.

We're here to help and make you stay using the product. DC is a good product, far better than one would imagine.
