Pipe flanges
« on: August 11, 2011, 05:54:46 PM »
For those of you interested, I am putting together a file of pipe flanges from 1/2" NB to 10" NB in the following flange standards: British Standard BS10, Australian Standard AS2129, ANSI and Bristish Standard BS4504. The flanges will be plain with no neck. They will cover Table C through to Table K (BS10 & AS2129), ANSI 125 - 1500, BS4504-6 through to -100. They will only be done as cast/forged steel dimensions. I will save them as Library Symbols and plain DoubleCAD drawings.

If I feel up to it, I will also create the files so that there is a flange joint with gasket, bolts, nuts and washers. Note: All fasteners will be METRIC. Sorry you guys in the US, you can change/add fasteners to your choice. When are you going to join the rest of us and go full metric?

You will basically get a front view and a side elevation.

Somewhere stored away I have stainless steel dairy fittings, mainly bends done originally in AutoDog. I will try and find them. They are done to BS Standard or APV, not too sure now. They too are geometrically correct.

Hi Steve
I think taht it will be interesting and helpful for many people. If more people would like to share with effects of their work,  after time could arise a large database  that would facilitate the life of different people in different areas. By the way, I give a link to a plugin for Sketchup - http://sketchup.engineeringtoolbox.com/ - useful for piping and other engineering profiles.
