To use this scripts you should have installed Microsoft.NET frameworks This examples are in Visual Basic.
For DoubleCAD Pro we can write scripts in Ruby, too. There is currently no documentation, and it is only the beginning, but as you probably noticed DuobleCAD growing very rapidly and change occurs very quickly, unfortunately, sometimes at the expense of bugs.
In DoubleCAD Pro you can create PPM too - Parametric Parts , with which you can create a script, where by entering a few variables, for example you can change the size of inserted windows, doors, furniture ... or automate some calculations (see http://forums.doublecad.com/index.php?topic=648.0 and others in this thread).

ah... thanks for enlightening me on that one !  Ruby sounds good as there are lot's of wonderful people who write stuff for Sketchup & I'm sure that will happen for 2cad too if they can get the bugs ironed out !

Personally I no longer have the time & patience to write scripts or stuff (I used too do stuff back in the bad old days of lisps for autocrad), but I admire those who do, so keep up the good work, & here's hoping 2cad sorts itself to be less buggy very soon !

Thanks for reporting this problem. It is confirmed as a BUG, and the engineers have found the issue. We hope to release a patch soon that will resolve this issue.

The bug with the drafting palette cuasing incorrect sections has been fixed you will find a link to the patch here:

The metric issue of giant arrow heads can be worked around via properties.

I just installed and checked it and I see no great improvement.Still in a different way sections are created for the walls and roof, and otherwise, for example, for 3D cone. I installed the patch over the previous 3.1. I will wait what will say others. If for them all will  be alright , I 'll check my installation.

OK Some sections are good. But 1. Section CC - if I do it for 3D con I will see top view, not side view. 2. Section D-D - an effect as in drawing 3 .Sections E-E F-F are incorrect 4. Section G-G for me invisible

In house_2 I deleted your section and made my. I have problem with sections, which are created on the basis of "   Sectional View left or front entity CS".

Does that patch also work for the XT or only for the PRO version?

Hi Michael
In its announcement , Brian stated that this patch applies to the Pro version. Patches for XT and Pro are separate. If this is not a problem for you, you could download  an existing patch for XT and compared with those which you  have previously installed (date create a file and its size).  If the files are the same, you have to wait. Surely soon appear patch for XT and it will be announced in the General Announcements.

Hi folks, after a year I wondered if all these section & metric issues were totally clearde up ?
If yes, is there some way of me re-testing 2cad pro for a day or two to see for myself before shelling out for it, which if convinced, i'm more than happy to do...
